For the Carnival Junkies

by Hollis "Chalkdust" LIverpool, Ph.D
Just about anything you need or want to know about carnival, the history, the traditions, the origin, is in this book. Its very detailed, well-researched and really reflects the cultural landscape of Trinidad. It talks about the shifts in carnival traditions and practices while relating it to the times and political/social and economic situations of the times. Gives me a greater appreciation for carnival and any true carnival lover must read it.
